WHAT THEY WANT FROM SANTA CLAUS – Premiere Donsense
From the January 10, 1941 Mar-Ken Journal:
WHO'S WHO: Ruth Circe - - She has been here for 3 1/2 years and is now in the 11th grade. She also has black hair and brown eyes. She is a horseback riding fiend and collects stamps in her spare time (if any). She was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, but has lost most of her accent.
From 1941 Mar-Ken Yearbook, as a Junior:
Next we have Ruth Circe, a South American girl who's been going to Mar-Ken for a long time. She was born on December 31 in Costa Rica. Her favorite sport is horseback riding and her hobby is stamp collecting. She also is allergic to Civics, but she likes Frenesi and her favorite book is "Les Miserables." She has two ambitions – one is to be an actress, and the other is to be a housewife.
From 1942 Mar-Ken Yearbook, as a Senior:
Ruth Circe comes from San Jose, Costa Rica, and speaks Spanish to suit. She adores Strauss, likes all of Mrs. Bessire's classes, and rides horseback incessantly. Despite her lovely black hair and eyes, her pet peeve is to be called a "Glamour Girl", so we call her "Baby".
Ruth Circe was the first President of the Mar-Ken Spanish Class, 1942. She is also a member of the Mar-Ken Chapter of the National Honor Society.
